The primary purpose of the Client Services Director is to lead the day-to-day delivery of HOW's direct client services while managing a small team of staff. The Director conducts intake and 1:1 consultations with women living with chronic or serious health conditions, develops individualized service plans, and connects clients to HOW programs (such as transportation, financial assistance, food access, and technology) as well as broader community and government resources. The role provides advocacy, supported referrals, and crisis intervention, while empowering clients to navigate social services, entitlements, and medical systems with growing independence. As a member of the leadership team, the Client Services Director also collaborates with the Program Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, and Executive Director to align client services with HOW's broader health and wellness programming.
Helping Our Women (HOW) was founded in 1993 to improve access to healthcare and well-being for women living with chronic or serious health conditions in the towns of Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown. HOW supports over 330 women each year with free, direct services, including: transportation to health and wellness appointments; benefits advocacy and assistance; wellness and social connection programs; food access services; financial assistance; and Peer Wellness Coaching. We maintain an open-door policy to provide information, advocacy, and referrals to all community members.
